The global shift towards renewable energy is accelerating, with the solar industry at the forefront of this transformation. Projections indicate that the global solar market will surge from $189.5 billion in 2022 to an impressive $607.8 billion by 2030, reflecting an annual growth rate of 20%.
Amidst this burgeoning landscape, NU E Power Corp. (CSE: NUE, OTC: NUEPF) is emerging as a significant player in the renewable energy sector. Headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, the company is dedicated to the development, construction, and operation of clean energy infrastructure across North America.
One of NU E Power’s flagship projects is the Hanna Solar Farm, a 300 MWac/360 MWdc facility located approximately 200 kilometers northeast of Calgary. Spanning nine sections of privately owned land, the project has recently received a low-risk wildlife assessment from Alberta Environment and Protected Areas. With construction anticipated to commence between mid to late 2026, the Hanna Solar Farm represents a substantial investment of approximately $400 million. Upon completion, it’s expected to generate around 650,000 MWh of electricity annually, offsetting approximately 280,000 tonnes of carbon emissions each year.
In addition to the Hanna project, NU E Power has successfully brought the Lethbridge One Solar Farm into commercial production. This milestone underscores the company’s commitment to expanding its renewable energy footprint and delivering sustainable power solutions.
A pivotal aspect of NU E Power’s growth strategy is its partnership with Low Carbon Canada Solar Limited, a subsidiary of the UK-based Low Carbon Investment Management Ltd. This collaboration aims to facilitate non-dilutive investments, targeting the development of up to 2 GW of renewable energy projects in Canada by 2030.
To support its ambitious projects and expansion plans, NU E Power recently secured $260,000 through the second tranche of a non-brokered private placement. These funds are earmarked for general working capital and to advance specific solar initiatives within Canada.
As the global demand for clean energy continues to rise, NU E Power Corp. is strategically positioned to contribute significantly to the renewable energy landscape, driving sustainable growth and offering potential value to its stakeholders.
